FAQs¹
CBD, or cannabidiol, is one of over 100 compounds found in the cannabis plant, Cannabis Sativa. There are two classifications for the plant: hemp and marijuana. We use safe, quality, lab-tested, USA hemp-derived CBD with minimum traces of THC.
The short answer is no. THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is the psychoactive compound in cannabis and the part that elicits a “high” feeling. CBD is not psychoactive, making it an ideal option for those who need pain relief without the mind-altering sensation of marijuana or many pharmaceutical drugs.
Our bodies are hard-wired to process CBD! The endocannabinoid system’s role is to bring balance to our tissues, including the heart, digestive, endocrine, immune, nervous, and reproductive systems with the help of receptors in our central nervous system. This is where CBD comes in to help receptors, CB1 (in charge of coordination, movement, pain, appetite, memory, mood, and more) and CB2 (effects pain and inflammation) trigger the benefits we know and love!
It’s different for everyone! We recommend starting small with 1-6mg of CBD for every 10 pounds of body weight per day and working your way up as you observe your body’s tolerance. Some of our favorites to start are CBD oil drops for their precise measurement and gummies for their simple and tasty consumption. One of the great things about CBD and the cannabis plant is the lack of negative effects from consuming too much. Deciding what “too much” means will vary, though there have been no cases of death from consuming an abundance of CBD or THC, and the worst you can expect is a groggy feeling and dry mouth sensation that will dissipate almost entirely after a few hours.
It is highly unlikely you will test positive on a drug test when consuming suggested servings of hemp-derived CBD, as most are looking for the psychoactive compound, THC.
